Text objects changing position in Wix Editor

Hi, I’m working in Wix Editor in my site, and I have stumbled upon an issue which I’m not sure how to tackle.

When adding a text element to a page, it comes with a default text content, and when I connect it to a dataset, the text changes to what it’s supposed to. No problem here.

However, if I position another text element below that one (about one line or two below it), after I change pages in the Wix Editor, sometimes the text element positioned below moves down a little more (to make space for the default text of the first text element, I think. However, this default text content has already been replaced for the dataset content in the meantime, so it only displays in the editor for a brief moment.)

What is the best practice to tackle this? Remove the dataset link, delete the default text content and make the dataset link again? But then again, should the text element positioned below change position by itself like this? In the public site itself I can understand when a text element slides down to make space for another element that is positioned above, but in the Editor this feels kind of stressful (I end up correcting the position everytime).

Thank you in advance for any advice!

yes, I always adjust the default text to be a simple word if connecting to a dataset.

@Dan_Suhr Thank you for your reply!
I see, I guess that should be the most practical solution.
Thank you for the tip! :slightly_smiling_face:
