:(

I’m getting a bit annoyed that in the passed three and a half days, not one person has responded to my question. I’ve asked the same question about three times already, and I have 0 comments. I’m seeing all of the other posts getting responses within a day at most. Can someone please help out here? My questions are posted bellow in the forum. Search for my profile pic bellow to see my posts. Thanks to anyone that helps!

I haven’t used galleries on Wix, so I just made a quick test site with a gallery.
I’m not really sure exactly what you mean by “a user downloads an image” from my gallery.

There doesn’t appear to be a download feature for galleries, only Like and Share.

What’s more, right-clicking is disabled, so a user can’t even download it using their browser’s “Save as…”

Can you explain what you mean a little more?

On the Wix Pro Gallery (app from app market), their is an option that allows for users to download the pictures. Click on the gallery, then settings>settings>download. With this option enabled, users can download pictures directly from the Wix Pro Gallery.

Is it possible using Wix Code for every download from the Wix Pro Gallery a user makes, the image that is downloaded is automatically saved to a database. This would be very helpful for my site. Basically, every time a user downloads something from the gallery, I want that same image to be saved to the database. Thanks for helping out so far, Mike! Hope this post answers your question. Once again, the gallery is a Wix app that can be found on the Wix App Market. The app is called Wix Pro Gallery (created by Wix).

I can not answer from a position of 100% confidence in my answer, but I can hazard a guess until some Wix employee gives you an answer…

The behaviour of Apps can not be customised in Wix Code, unless there is an API (an interface), which is only the case in a very very narrow range of apps (the Wix Member Login app is one … it interfaces to a degree with the wix.users API.

So my guess would be no, this can’t be done at present.

Of course, you could code your own gallery app, or pay someone to do it for you.

Hi,
Sorry for the long wait.
It isn’t possible to register the download event of the wixPro gallery.
You can open a feature request here .

Ok, thanks for the help! If it isn’t possible to register a download event for the Wix Pro Gallery, is it still possible to register a download event another way? For example, maybe not a gallery, but a single photo with a download button. Thanks again for your help!

Hi,
Can you explain what are you trying to do? maybe we can find another way to do it.
It isn’t possible to trigger a download event in wix code.

They’ve explained what they are trying to do, in a bunch of separate posts (for some reason)

Okay I checked it out and right now it isn’t possible to do so :frowning:
