I would like to use Wix ShoutOut. Wix ShoutOut uses Wix Contacts as a source of email addresses. I need to collect other information in addition to email address for each contact. The current Wix Contacts does not allow a way to collect other information for each contact unless it can be mapped in 123 FormBuilder to a Wix Contact field. There needs to be a way to add fields to the Wix Contacts (table). OR a way to join the Wix Contacts (table) to a data collection in Wix Code. Otherwise a manual export of the .csv will be required.
Is it possible to add additional fields to Wix Contacts now?
Hi,
I’m afraid that currently there’s no option to integrate Wix Contacts and Wix ShoutOut with Wix Code.
You can export your contacts and import the information to your collection . However, when updating your contacts, the database will not be updated accordingly.
Hello,
I am glad to let you know that, as of today, you are able to push ALL the data collected by your 123FormBuilder forms to Wix Code databases. Here is a tutorial:
My colleague Dorina has already opened a thread regarding this new development:
Thank you for the information. Is there a reason why you are recommending creating a form in 123 Form Builder instead of creating a page with custom user input fields that are saved in a database collection? Can custom user input fields be saved to the Wix Contacts table or do we have to use 123 Form Builder to save to the Wix Contacts table instead of a Wix page with user input fields?
Hello,
I recommend 123FormBuilder because I am CTO & cofounder of 123FormBuilder. And I personally worked on this, because I found out this would be of great use for Wix users. I have no idea if it is possible to achieve using the method you mentioned
One more thing, Tudor. The 123FormBuilder forms can save to a Wix Code database but not the actual Wix Contacts table that feeds Wix ShoutOut, correct? In order to enter the data collected from the form into Wix Contacts, I would need to export the data collected in the Wix Code database as a .csv then import the .csv into Wix Contacts, correct?
Hi Becsandidge, I have the same question as yours: how to add additional custom columns to my existing Wix contacts… Adding fields and updating it from several different sources of (external) information. Did you succeed in your quest for a solution? I’m really interested
Hi guys! I know this is a pretty old thread, but I’ve just found it and I was wondering if you guys managed to find a solution. @becsandidge - 123FormBuilder forms can save info in both Wix Code Database and Wix Contacts when the form is submitted. In Wix Code Database, all fields have their own column in the table, while in Wix Contacts - additional info can be send only if you customize the integration and add those additional fields in a special Text area. This will not create new additional fields in Wix Contacts, but will pass the necessary additional data in a single field.
And regarding Google Drive integration - what exactly are you interested in? If you enable this integration in a 123FB form, the submitted data will appear as an entry in a Google Spreadsheet. You can use all three (Wix Contacts, Code and Google Spreadsheet) in the same time.
Drop me a message (dorina@123formbuilder.com) in case you have further questions or need any assistance with the 123FormBuilder app.
This thread needs an update for the current state of VELO.
@tudor-bastea-1 your tool can be great for anyone who isn’t familiar with using datasets or Velo, however WIX has come a long ways natively in the past three years.
This module allows us to attach any bit of information we want directly to the contact object saved in the WIX CRM. It gives us the access needed to update, create, query, and correct contact information.
Aside from this, unless you need the information attached directly to the contact object, a method with less configuration is to simply save any additional data against an email/contact ID in a native WIX collection.
Hi Robert-
It seems the wix forms has capability baked in to update CRM custom fields, but that does not function as expected. Do you have any input there?
Thanks!
