Hi everyone,
or may be it is me who is bugging all the way. Ok, I have a user input button where a visitor should type his year of birth. I have selected in Texts Settings : the ‘Placeholder text’ on load option but it will instead show the 1st row of the database it is connected to. So, I found a turn around in adding a blank row at the top position of the database : so far so good but not for long as I have tables that rely on the data selected through that user input and it now takes 2 to 3 click on the ‘start’ button to show the data in the tables ( it shows the divider but not the texts so my thinking is that at 1st it shows the blank row then at 2nd click it will show the selected row’s data on 1st table, then another click for 2nd table, ect. But if I do not put a blank data row in my database it starts with 1st data row and no delay in viewing data in tables ( that is what everybody wants ).
So why I want to stick on that placeholder text? Not to annoy I assure you but if it shows data instead of placeholder text, the data has to be selected with the mouse then deleted then the visitor can type its data. And when it is the place holder text, just click and you can input your data right away ( and gives hint that is the purpose of it )
.
I have not tested on live site as I am still unpublished and will stay that way until it is perfect.
I have tried to select any king of options offered in choices selection for the user input button to no avail - tried different connections - shouted a lot of cursed words on wix conceptors too and this to no avail either.
So is it a bug? Or is this a problem that someone has already encountered and would be gracious enough to light my path?
I am willing to share a detail of my code as there is surely something wrong in it ( in fact I attach it to this message ). Helping on that matter will not only make my day but will lead me to a better non cursing person.
