Can we please get some sort of integration option (but not enforced) that would allow user input on calendar fields to be synced to a Google calendar if there was a need for such a thing by the site owner?
Interesting proposal, but what did you have in mind? Can you give me a specific scenario?
Free-busy data into the datepicker selection component?
Setting a calendar event as a result of form submission?
In either case seems like there would be enough custom logic required to make it a JavaScript API rather than baked-in sync, no?
Curious to hear your thoughts/scenarios.
Well, I had a minimum use in mind so that any submissions could be synced one-way to the calendar with some details or at least an option to list some details. What you describe in more details above sounds a lot more like Wix bookings and I can see how those options may eventually become necessary for the calendar element.
In my use case, I wanted to use this for a separate google calendar that tracks wedding car rental requests that are not passed through the Wix booking app by choice, so at a glance, my team can see which days there are requests for wedding car rentals for as they have very few drivers and need an easy way to know what days their drivers are already gone.
But I can see how a 2 way sync is sort of required, that way busy/available data can be directly shown the end user, skipping more manual work and verification in the process. Basically this can be a Booking light type of thing, one-off, stand-alone without costing extra, of course it wont be as nice as the booking app, but can help certain custom form needs.
I would like something similar for allowing users to log their own important dates. The aim is for them to have once place for them to log repeating government required checks and we automatically set different reminder schedules depending on the type of check and location.
