I have been working with Editor X, and tonight is the first I hear about Velo, its blowing my mind.
There simply is not enough time in a day to work with clients sites and learn this, omg its like being back in grade school again. I used to code all my websites with straight code, html, CSS, JavaScript, php, and mysqli, I never wanted to move to a drag and drop platform for the fear of losing focus on what was where and why.
Its the same thing when we did not have smart cell phones and we had to use our memory to memorize phone numbers, with smart phones we just click and the repetition of thinking that number no longer exists.
that’s my metaphor I feel like I am re-learning from base one. OMG>….
and I have more clients then I can handle…….
I am going to learn Velo, and get more into implementing JavaScript into my sites functions, maybe when I master it, I will apply to work with your team, I absolutely love your genius.
When this site I am working on now goes live, it will be a detox center with a live streaming movie selection for the members, and now adding Covid-19 PCR and antibody testing.
Still have 2 law firms to do, and 3 restaurants’.
with the restaurant the client needs the interface to communicate with his “POS”, I am not even sure if that’s going to work, I am going to build it, he has a full delivery menu, ugg…
I was talking with the client and explaining that there would be a members area and that he should entice he patrons to become members by offering a discount on there next order, this would enable him to build up a database of his patrons, and on slow days he should be able to click thru a option that would send out a text to all his customer, I am not sure still if that function is availed in the app market for editor x ?
back to the client I am finishing offering the ability to stream there is that bottle neck for how fast I can upload to the server that will be hosting, so this forces me to degrade the quality of the video below 1080p
===
Anything less than 5000kbp is usually unacceptable for 1080p . You might want to consider re-encoding to 720p, especially if viewing on a smaller tv. You won’t notice the difference between 1080p and 720p unless your looking right at the tv from a foot away, and is bigger than 40inches. Jul 19, 2011
ok so now lets see the average file size per stream, that is anywhere from 80-130mins.
MP4
Video Format and File Type
Learn more about codecs here. You may have heard of the h. 264 codec (you may not have, but hang in there). This codec produces an MP4 , which typically delivers the best quality, with smallest file size.
ok so its sweet spot is 700 MB per Stream and I will need to upload to the server
1,024
One megabyte ( MB ) is made up of 1,024 kilobytes (KB). The next measurement up is a gigabyte ( GB ), which is made up of 1024MB. Sep 19, 2014
ok so the most space I can get on a wix server is 50 GB that’s 219.00 per month, not a big deal, it’s unlimited hours, so we can figure the site can hold around
50 gigabytes = 50000 megabytes so dived that by say 800 that’s roughly 50-70 stream selections before I would move up to the :

non of that concerns me, what I am trying to figure out is the best way to deliver the content to the patrons, with editor x the media player that I could get from the app store looks legit and fully customizable, but naturally i am going to use a database with page repeater, is this going to work, I certainly do not want to waste hours and days uploading with 7 laptops simultaneously streams then find out that I cant deliver the content to the expected number of users, which at this point is undetermined but the advertising that is going into the site locally is massive and could be anywhere from 100 - 1000 users or more.
I am open for any advice on the best way to replicate the delivery that probably Netflix uses, into my Editor x site that I think is now going to be Velo ?
It’s 7am and I have been working 10 hours…
tippin’ the hat too the dev team @ editor x
time to get back to the site.
