Verification badge for users?

We need this. And one badge can make a huge impact.

First of all, one of my friends website i will not state has a website for kids. And he also has a sign up feature, which means kids will be able to sign up and so will parents.

Obviously if I was a 6 year old and I look at some fake person acting like a celebrity, I could be like, “HEY GUYS! MY FAVROITE YOUTUBER IS GIVING OUT $10,000!”, even though it’s a scam.

And you might think the same too. Other social media let you do the same, but Wix has no way unless you make your own members area using a database for user generated content, which that itself wont work at all unless your really good at coding. (But wix has some stuff preventing that!)

If you can make a app, send me the code and where and how to put it, or anything, please. Please.

(Mind if you can let the owner change the color of the badge? I personally like purple.)

Have you tired “Assign Badge to Members”? Wix have this feature. Try if you can just leave the text blank, and upload your own tick svg file, and make the background transparent.

The verified badge won’t let you keep it blank. Also the verified badge also shows up on the bottom of your profile, and shows the “Badges” thing on the profile.

Also you can’t add your own .svg file, plus the fact Wix doesn’t allow you to upload your own tick or any image at all. Wix doesn’t even support .svg!

You can even go to @certified-code ‘s profile page and check for yourself.

@colorblix Yep. By the way, what editor are you using?

I see, I hope we can have a feature request that: No need to enter text if pic is added OR no need to upload pic if text is added💭 #featurerequest

I think it doesn’t matter what editor, the badge setting is in backend (dashboard)

It’s not about that. It’s the layout too. We just need a request for a verification badge in the layout of this:

#verificationbadge #featurerequest #securityrequest

Hi William :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Wix does support uploading your own SVG files to the badges, I do agree that you cannot have an empty badge name, but you can control what to show on the profiles (badge icon + badge name, only badge name, only badge icon).

If you need more custom solutions, you need to build them by yourself or have someone else build them for you.
