Sure, can you tell us what is the latest development on Wix Blocks? Will it be continued to be developed / improved?

Is the team that got hired last year still working on pushing Wix Blocks further? Or has it been abandoned?

Thanks for your question. I’ve asked the Blocks team for an update and will let you know as soon as I have some information to share.

I think that it´s extremely hard to make star rating work because when you click on a star the rating doubles or triples up for me depending on which star you click at (for example if the total count is 13 and you click on star 2 the next total number becomes 15 which is wrong because it shall add just one and become 14). I have asked several of your experts but none of them have made it clear enought how I must do and I have also copied their code and added correct name fields but still no good result so I really wish for an easy video tutorial from scratch to finish.

Now I have struggled with this for 2 weeks and are seriously frustrated. Many write that you shall have a look at the “Ratings by User” template but that is very confusing for me because it is attached to a lightbox which I don´t want to use and it is really hard to understand what you shall replace the lightbox text with so that is NOT a good example for beginners. It does not even use the same kind of code that is used on this page:

You are asking for more tutorials for complex interactions within repeaters. Specifically in your case how to allow users to apply ratings within repeater elements and calculate total ratings

Hi Nayeli, I’m happy to share that the team is still working on extending Blocks to support more abilities. We recently introduced Blocks to Velo users for creating private code packages; and we’re working on extending that to applications with both code & UI (widgets). Hope to share some good news on that in a couple of months :blush:
