Website Transfer - More Complicated

Question:
Freelancer working for a client. Client has a “core” wix plan that does not exist anymore. Their website has a premium plan that only looked to support desktop and mobil and not tablet. The New website I designed has all three responsive options. When it came time to “unassign the domain” and transfer it from the old site to the new site, we encountered some issues but eventually the client just transferred ownership of the website to me. So now i have full access, full control but I STILL can’t transfer the old site to the new site. When I go to the old site, go to domains, it doesn’t appear that there is one connected with it. When I try and assign the domain to the new site, it tells me that it’s still connected to the old one.

The AI chat bot suggests that I make a copy of the old existing site and basically start from scratch to build the site. Not that I am opposed to that but I don’t want to go through all the trouble if it won’t work.

Please help. My desk has a head shaped dent in it right now, please help.

Hello. Has the issue still not been resolved even after some time? :thinking:
If this is the kind of problem that doesn’t get resolved on its own over time, you might consider reaching out to Wix Support or consulting with a community manager. Personally, I think the latter option is more likely to lead to a solution.
Also, I’ve heard that if you tell the Wix Support AI chatbot that you want to speak with a human, it will connect you to one. :innocent:
