Hey @Marlowe! thank you for everything you and the Wix team do for us. Wix Code has been definitely a tremendous tool for boosting the services that I offer.

The best resources are definitely the API documentation for how to’s and then the forum for specific questions. Often times I find that forum posts take days to receive an answer (or there’s post still without an answer) which may take down people from what they’re trying to accomplish.

In any case, the experience has been amazing and for sure I will use the feedback form sooner rather than later.

Pura Vida from CR!

Hey Marlowe! Hope you’re well. I repeat what Felipe said above, thank you for everything you and the whole Wix team are doing for us. It’s life changing for some people.

My first thing i’d like to talk about is actually something you probably don’t expect, the Wix Code website. It’s so laggy, buggy and slow. Especially on mobile. The menu hover effects are slow. If you can fix that’d be great.

The experience with Wix Code has been great. I feel that even though SSR is enabled on Mobile, Wix Code pages still take a little longer to load, even if it’s only loading 3 items from a database and displaying. Desktop is incredibly slow with Wix Code.

The biggest thing for me is being able to match the code up. I know what it does, i know how it works but i always get stuck at what goes where (i will leave that to you guys to work some magic on helping us with this) lol.

More example videos (full examples with the code as a pdf file) would be great.

I also agree with Felipe, while Wix Code is a free service at this time and we appreciate y’all are busy, but if i am trying to code something for a client and don’t have the answer or have an issue…you guys are really my only resort, in this forum. We need more help and answers to questions we have on here. Some take a while to get replies and others don’t get attended to at all (a few of those have been mine). It fails me with what i am trying to do.

I end up giving up with it…i know this isn’t primarily your fault…but i feel a more robust solution for people helping us would be great.

Maybe even a live chat with someone would be great on here. You could use a live chat service as i know Wix Chat isn’t as robust yet for this scale.

(I am not being negative…only providing feedback lol) I hope this helps and makes sense, oh and thank you so much for everything!!!

Hey Marlowe!
For the forum…
So i will be fully honest at my feedback,
The forum is…Really not good.I mean it lags, really not good navigation, and overall it discourages you to read posts and answer them. The layout is a mess…I don’t know if it is just me :frowning:
I would be more than happy to create a forum from scratch with WixCode to host this hahhahaha.

Okay now for the important stuff, WixCode itself.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Just amazing.Really tiny bugs, which gets fixed quickly.
Limitless possibilities, And good a additions on the APIs over time!
I LOVE the new IDE…Just love it.Nothing bad to say about it…It is just a developer’s best friend!

For the support, now this is a weird topic to talk about, because when it comes to coding, no company should ever have to provide the actual code of what the user needs to do(we wouldn’t ask for WP or any other to provide a JS snippet for X or Y functionality, so the fact that there are developers from WIX dev team that do that is 100% awesome.

For some final thoughts, again on the forum.
I would want to have an area for professionals.I mean real professionals that are advanced at JS and are working with wixcode, and not people that are just started using WixCode, or use wixcode for the really basic stuff. They should write on a different area and be able to communicate with one another on advanced topics, that shouldn’t exist on the normal forum.Because sometimes there are so many posts that wix devs gets lost in, and they miss some good questions, over a newbie one like why hide/show doesn’t work or some of the basics.

Overall, great work from all departments of wix, you do great work on this product and we are holding our breath to what comes next

What I struggle with is Wix Code requires me to build some elements from scratch when I’d like to adapt blocks you’ve created. Eg if I want a user submitted content you’re giving me forms but the form being used on New Wix blog is more powerful and I’d rather customise that

Another example is blogs - new Wix blog gives me member pages and threaded comments. If I want that in Wix code I’ve got to build that from scratch, when I really want to be able to drag and drop and customize blocks you’ve already created like you offer with the database and the repeaters

I don’t understand why Wix does not have a native integration with Zapier. All other CMS providers have one and makes it a dream to use multiple tools but with Wix code you need to know how to write webhooks which is very frustrating!! I want to create custom forms on my site alongside interactive experiences but I don’t know how to write webhooks or use API’s. In order for Wix to scale further I would suggest a Zapier integration.

I agree Mark!

Hi Marlowe, I ansewered and repeat here:

I believe that Wix Code has been the turning point of Wix evolution.
But, we need assistance. One example, are weeks and weeks I’m looking for a bit of assistance on router.js, one of the most important support for who wants seriously code. It doesn’t work and/or the examples online are too poor and nobody answers about on forum.
Looking forward for your feedback as soon as
