What happened to the Layering-options?

Since about 2-days, there are some options missed related to the layering of elements …

How to hide or show every single layer now? Working on projects is now almost impossible.

This ISSUE still persists. Some updates about this problem ?
I hope the issue exists because of improvments, related to the LAYERING-OPTIONS.

Some new API on their way? —> would be great!

I now have this problem too. There is no show/hide each layer. I will contact customer care too. I see in https://www.wix.com/velo/forum/site-page-design/hidden-element-are-inaccessible-in-editor
That this was reported SIX days ago. Mine was working OK a couple of days ago. Looks like this error is taking some time to show up for some users.

The hide/show eye buttons have come back for me, but they do not work for elements that are “hidden” in the properties panel, nor do they show up in the properties panel when selected in the layers panel.

The LAYERING-OPTIONS are back → that’s right, but it’s a temporarily solution .

Wix is working on a better one . So we will have to be patient in this case.
Stay tuned!

So, what are your thoughts on this ???
Share your thoughts, what do YOU think about the LAYERING-OPTION?
How should it work for YOU ? Let’s talk about it!

My own opinion!

This one…

…is indispensable for me. I need it to work comfortable & fast in the wix-editor.
Designing and developing without this feature is extremely time-consuming!

As a long-term solution, we will consider bringing back hide action in Velo mode only.
And the mentioned → “Velo-Mode” , i think it will be the Wix-Editor’s → " Dev-Mode ".

@russian-dima I too had this problem and logged a support call. … All paraphrased…
I was told by the chat support: Oh , yes I can reproduce that here I’ll escalate it.
From the escalation team: No, it’s not a bug nor a problem. You just can’t see your widgets because there are other widgets in front of them.
From the escalation team when I pointed out that it actually WAS a problem: Oh, we can’t reproduce the problem here. Try clearing your cache etc…
Today when I opened the editor (without clearing the cache etc) It’s magically back again!
Then I read your post - Wix actually had intentionally and knowingly removed it on purpose and has now put it back!
OMG!!! Wix is a FANTASTIC product. I LOVE it. But seriously, it’s support is, well, based on the above you can insert your own expletive.
I’ve made comments in the forum like this before and I got a Wix staffer saying Oh, we really want to improve, please help and send me details. So I did. And guess what, I never heard back despite trying many times. There’s only one thing worse than bad support - its being placated. You can see what I mean here: Keyboard on site-user’s mobile device not appearing for edit fields | Velo by Wix
Keep up the good work Velo-Nina

Thanks for your response and participation. Yes i will continue my work here on the Velo-Forum → because it is also my own interesst to improve Wix, because i also do work on this very powerful website-platform and yes i like it too.

But i also do NOT want to miss functions, which are very important for me to work fast and without any headaches in the Wix-Editor. UPGRADES of the Wix-Editor → of course are welcome!
DOWNGRADES are not really welcome! → I think this is logical for everybody.

About the Wix-Support: If i am honest, i used the Wix-Support not really often (frequent) → i think it was my second or third time i used it. Why?

Yes in the past, i agree → Wix-Support was weak and perhaps this was also my behaviour to avoid it. But, i have also seen a lot of improvements on the Wix-Platform during the last 1,5-2 years i am using it right now, INCLUDING the Wiy-Support.

So i can’t say anymore, that wix-support is bad. You can see the efforts, wix is trying to get better and better. Even if there are some bad experienced moments (mostly you will have them during or after Wix-environment-updates), at the end (some weeks of patience is needed here), all problems in most cases are solved/gone.

Exactly as you described it in your post, too. What i want to say → stay patient and i am almost sure you will get your good experience on wix back.

And one last conclude phrase.

As long as there are UPGRADES and CHANGES done on the Wix-Platform → it is good for the USER → improvement-process running…. And in bad experienced moments (just try to stay patient).
In most cases you will have a happy end.
