Issue:
I have setup weight-based shipping on my store. I am shipping only in a single country. The entire country is divided into regions with each region having particular rates for shipping to that region. I am facing a situation during checkout where the customer enters a zip code where he actually wants the product to be delivered but selects a different region where the rate of shipping is lesser than the original destination. Since there is no matching available between the entered zip code and the selected region, the transaction gets through. The material will be delivered at the entered zip-code since all other details of the address exist in the city with the entered zip-code.
For example:
Customer ‘A’ wants the delivery of a product at zip code ‘nnnnnn’. This zip-code falls in region ‘X’ where shipping charge is, say, $60. During checkout, the customer enters zip-code as ‘nnnnnn’ but selects the region ‘Y’ where the shipping charge is, say, $20.
My question is : Is there any provision in Wix to validate the entered zip code against the selected region ? Is there any workaround for this problem ? I have no idea of coding in velo.
