WIX Bookings - Changing the price or adding a discount after customers have booked a service

I am seeking alternative solutions or any updates regarding the implementation of a particular feature in WIX Bookings.

Currently, my customers book courses through our website, and we aim to manage all administrative tasks using WIX. However, we face a significant limitation: we cannot modify the price or apply a discount after a booking is made.

The only workaround we’ve found involves removing the customer from the booking, creating a discount code, and having them rebook. This process is cumbersome and time-consuming, especially when I need to start the class promptly.

WIX mentioned that they have been working on this feature since January, with a tentative release in March. As it’s now June, any information on the current status of this feature would be highly appreciated. Additionally, the feature request specifies “Changing price plan,” but it’s unclear if this includes setting custom prices or merely switching between predefined options like “student” and “regular.”

Could you provide any insights or alternative methods to address this issue? This feature would greatly benefit our studio.

Hey, this is Carmel from Wix Bookings.
I think I have a solution for you! :slight_smile:
You can edit the booking price and even add a discount through the order page. To do this, go to the course participant list, click on the three dots, then select “View Order.” From there, under “More Actions,” choose “Edit Order.” This will allow you to either adjust the price or add a discount on the right side of the order summary.I hope this helps you save some manual work, even though it requires a few extra clicks.

In general, the ability to change the price immediately from the calendar is currently available only for appointments. The link you added refers to the ability of the owner to change the pricing option selected by the customer (if the service is set up with different pricing options).

I totally understand the issue. I have the same problem. Yes adding the discount works if people pay cash or by card. But if they want to use a different payment method or I want to write down how they have payed it is not possible which is a bit annoying.
When creating a bill it is possible to just write down how they have payed but not with the check out…

Can you please provide me with a full and detailed example? What specific capability are you missing? What are you trying to do that isn’t working? Why doesn’t the solution I suggested work for you? How would you like it to function?
