Wix Chat - Deleting / Archiving Old Member Chats

Hi Friends at Wix & @noahlovell ,

For Wix Member’s Chat (Members Chatting with Admin and Members Chatting with other Members), is there a way to delete / archive old chats?

Members Chat is a powerful tool to build up communities and conversations. However, as the number of chats and interactions increases, it can become a clutter.

May I ask if there’s any way if members or admin can archive / delete chats?

At the moment, Wix Members Chat doesn’t support deleting or archiving chat threads, either for members or admins. Chats are designed to be persistent, so once a conversation starts, it remains in the chat list.

Hi there Dan,

Thanks for sharing - yes, I figured that out as well, but thought of checking in with the community if there might be any workarounds.

Shall make a feature request, and hopefully Wix adopts it. It’s funny because it is pretty rudimentary across all community sites (LinkedIn, FB etc.) where there is some way to archive / hide / delete chats.
