We need to have the option for the Date and Time field in any dataset to be able to save as either Date only or Date and Time.
We have the option to have a dedicated Time field, so why can’t we have the option to have a dedicated Date field now too?
Not great having to use the Date and Time field for a DatePicker element and then having to resort to code to get rid of the time details, when that should already be a choice for us.
Yes you can display the date on a page by using the DatePicker in a read only format and redesign to suit your page, however we really need the option to not have to do that and to be able to save it as just the date itself in the Date field in the dataset.
Especially when you have to use code if you want to use it in repeaters or if you don’t have any code knowledge to be able to change it to just show the date only and not the time too.
DatePicker should only display the Date field itself and if people want to have the time too, they either have the option to display Date and Time in the field or just use the Time field with a TimePicker element itself.
This has probably been requested and asked for many times over, however we need it so that it can be sorted for both non-coders and coders alike.
We need to at least have the basic option that people can use if they can’t code and are using Wix purely for the simple design element, whilst also have the option for people who can code to carry on and edit it how they like it.
