Wix increases video size

Hi all,

I’m using a video as background in the hero section of my home page. Today I uploaded a lighter video (1.6 MB) after realizing my larger video (5.6 MB) was slowing down my site a lot. However when I download the video from the Wix URL (from Media manager) the file is 6.6 MB. How is that possible, and why? All the while, looking at the file information in the Media manager, it says 1.6 MB.

I deleted the old heavier video and emptied the trash and the two videos are named differently.

This is really slowing loading time of my site, any help would be appreciated!

For now, how about trying the same thing in a different browser, or clearing the cache of your current browser and then trying again? :thinking:

Thanks for your suggestion, but I tried that several times, unfortunately it’s made no difference.
