Hi Everyone,
I have been tiptoeing around WIX Pro Gallery - it is not responsively changing image sizes for Portfolio images I have uploaded. Oddly, I uploaded all the same pixel dimensions and resolutions originally - some work and some do not ??? I literally put the issue aside, as it was proving to be unattainable.
Additionally, when changing the image (when trying to resolve cropping and size issues), the Image data descriptions go blank and have to be re-typed every single time.
I would like to suggest that all website theme developers and app developers be required to add DIMENSION REQUIREMENTS - “placeholder text”. This would be extremely helpful for everyone and such a time saver. It’s already in their code - so just add it for us!

I want my images not to be automatically cropped in WIX Pro Gallery
I want WIX to update code to make the WIX Gallery responsive when we upload images and to provide placeholder information.
I have tried resizing images multiple times with inconsistent results - in that other images MAINTAIN DIMENSIONS and some run amuk. 
I would like to know when this will be resolved - I have been dealing with the issue for 2 years now.

Within the Wix Pro Gallery you must select Fit instead of Crop within the settings.
The reason you will not find specific dimensions listed is because there are different shape variations + different layouts. It would be too many possibilities to list out.
Your best choice would be to select Fit.
I completely agree with you on the “adding descriptions all over again” after editing an image—- even if it is the same image. This just has to be a flaw that was looked over and not intentionally developed that way.
What would make it more efficient would be to simply allow us to add title and description within our account Media Manager where we select the pictures from so that it AUTOMATICALLY inserts the title and description onto our gallery.

Where are the settings options to “Fit” and “Crop” the image?
My Work Around:
Manage Media > Opens Organize Your Gallery > Select Image
Below the Image Thumbnail on right side there are option (icons):
Replace Image / Edit Image / Focal Point
Focal Point worked out for me - not ideal but better than before. Prior to these screenshots the left side was not showing/cut off. The thumbnail shows the entire image with the icon options . . .

You must use the Wix Pro Gallery settings to explore the “endless” configuration combinations. When you select a layout you will be able to customize and then select other details such as “crop” or “fit”.
Hmmm, thinking about this issue - that may explain why my image sizes changed, sometimes fitting - sometimes not. Somehow the image ratio was changed <<<
Is this a global setting chosen when the app is set up?
I don’t recall seeing this for adding individual images to a Gallery. Initially, setting up the gallery, I literally resized an image about 6 times and was racking my brain trying to figure out why several of the images worked and 1 wasn’t. This issue changed repeatedly - must be someone sittin’ on top of my router … unless there is an explanation. ??
