I run a food business using Wix Restaurants and have been experiencing a serious issue: when customers place orders, the order date/time changes in error.
Customer selects: September 5 at 3:00 PM (Charlotte, NC).
Checkout page will randomly assign a different time/date. Especially if you click “edit” time/date. Will show and choose a random shifted date/date. Confirmation email or dashboard shows: September 6 (or another shifted date).
This is creating major confusion for my clients and my operations.
What I’ve Done Already:
Checked my site’s Language & Region → Time Zone (set correctly). We have a 35 hour lead time setup but issue persists no matter how we change that setting, ASAP etc.
Tested on multiple devices and browsers.
Exported orders (noted the UTC vs. local time shift).
Opened 7 separate tickets with Wix Support, but I keep getting bounced around with no resolution.
Asked for escalation, but I’m told “the Restaurants team works offline” and I never hear back.
Impact:
This is critical — it affects my ability to serve customers and makes my business look unreliable.
What I’m Asking:
Has anyone else using Wix Restaurants noticed this same issue recently?
Is this a confirmed bug, and if so, when will a fix be released?
Can Wix staff please escalate this to the Restaurants product team and provide a status update?
This is not a minor inconvenience — it’s directly impacting paying customers. I’d appreciate if other business owners who are seeing this could comment so Wix understands it’s not an isolated case.
The issue you’re describing really does look like a timezone or backend bug on Wix’s side rather than anything in your own settings, especially since you’ve already double-checked the lead time, timezone, and tested across devices. At this point the best step is for Wix to escalate it to their Restaurants product team, because it’s not something you can fix from your end. If anyone else here is seeing the same problem, it would help to chime in so Wix can see it’s affecting multiple businesses.
Although you can do custom coding, let me know if you need any help in custom coding.
Thanks for reaching out. I asked and saw that the ticket and issue you raised is being investigated by the relevant product team. As @Samo_Coder mentioned, in this case communicating and updating within the ticket thread would be the best course since the team is investigating this.
I reached out to let them know as I noticed you replied with some videos and I shared some information I noticed as well.
I’ll keep you posted but they’ll reply to you directly via email before circling back to me. As mentioned, it would be best to reply there in that email thread if you have any further information.
@Rob Since your last reply, I’ve seen Maria from Restaurants in Ireland go on my site several times along with others from Wix in VA. Still no response, I’m not sure they have any clue how to fix this. It’s been a total of over 3 weeks now. Can someone help! Please!
