I wanted to share some thoughts about the new Roadmap system in the Wix Help Centre.
Last week, I took the time to go through all the active roadmap requests. For each one, I clicked on ‘Follow this Feature Request’. I noticed a couple of things:
- When I go into a specific roadmap item, click ‘Follow this Feature Request’, and then go back to the list of items, the button still looks like I didn’t follow the item. But when I go back into the specific item, it shows that I did follow it.
- Even though I followed all the Roadmap items last week, all of them now show that I’m not following them when I click into them.
- I think it would be great if I could automatically follow all roadmap requests and their statuses. I’m a partner, and I want to know how things are progressing for all the products so I can better help my clients. Sometimes I might not want to follow a specific thing right then, but being able to see how everything is progressing would help me make decisions and keep my clients updated about what features are coming.
Also, I have a question about what happens when I follow a roadmap item or an article that’s collecting votes:
- If I vote for a feature and it goes to the ‘Planned’ stage (or moves further along), will I know about it? If a planned item changes to ‘Working on it’, will I get an email?
