Wix Site Search showing no results

I am trying to add the wix site search to my page but everytime I search for something on my page it always says no results found. I waited more than an hour for it to sync but still nothing. I followed the directions to the tee added search bar and results page published site waited more than 10 minutes and still nothing. am I missing something? thanks
