Is it possible to load a listing of Wix Store items from a dataset? It appears that each item has to be inputted one at a time. Is there a more elegant solution for initial loading of items?

When you enable Wix Stores you will get a Stores folder show up under the Database folder in the Pages menu:
You can attach the Collections or the Products to a dataset however the only access you will have is read. If you are looking to bulk load items from a spreadsheet or csv then this might help:

If it is the same capabilities it should not differ. Wix what is going on?

It seems that you may be part of the group of users that this feature is not yet available to. I will do some more digging and understand who is in this group and update this thread in a few days.

@stevendc Thanks! I can always count on you. So glad I was snooping for an answer. It is frustrating because I was on beta since the very beginning and all my current clients on wix are using the development tools heavily.
@elizabethjhay Hi Elizabeth you will be contacted by Support regarding the Product Import access.
The reason for the differences that you have cited above is that there is a different database back end used by Wix Stores vs the one used for data collections. You need to import into the Stores/Products data collection which has a different process.

@stevendc Thanks Steve! Haven’t heard from Wix yet. It is really odd that that the functionality would differ since it is meant to produce the same result, but it is Wix, so I bet they have a better explanation. However, I tried to load product collections and there is not bulk functionality either. It is a wonder because most e commerce platforms allow bulk import knowing that customers have large catalogues. If Wix wants to compete they need to fix whatever is going on here.
