Wix Store - List

Question:
In Wix Store, in the Setting is an Option to define the LIST configuration. An option to order the store List is “Recommended”, but I can’t define which are the recommended products. What does this “Recommended” order depend on? Could I define the “Recommended” products to show?

Product:
Wix Store - LISTS configurations

What are you trying to achieve:
Define which Recommended products I want to show in the Wix Store List.

What have you already tried:
Search the configuration and the Wix Help.

Here are some approaches you can consider for managing recommended products in your Wix Store:

1. Dedicated Category for Recommended Products:

  • Create a separate category specifically for “recommended” products. This allows you to curate your most desired items for targeted showcasing.
  • Users can then easily browse just the recommended products when looking for your top picks.

2. Rearranging the Store List (Limited Control):

  • While Wix Stores doesn’t offer direct control over the “recommended” sorting, you might have limited control by rearranging the product list order.
  • Go to your product settings and access the “Products” list.
  • You can then drag and drop products to reposition them within the list. This could be helpful if you want to prioritize a few key products at the beginning, although it doesn’t directly define “recommended.”

3. External Database with Multi-Reference (Advanced):

  • This approach requires some technical expertise and potentially third-party tools.
  • Consider exploring the possibility of using an database with a multi-reference system linked to your Wix Store products.
  • This could allow you to define specific criteria for “recommended” products within the external database.
  • The database could then communicate with your Wix Store to dynamically display products based on your defined “recommended” criteria.

Important Considerations:

  • Choose the approach that best aligns with your technical skills and store needs.
  • Creating a dedicated category is a simple and user-friendly solution.
  • Rearranging the product list offers some control but lacks direct “recommended” designation.
  • Exploring an external database provides flexibility but requires additional setup and expertise.
