It is really frustrating to work with the new editor when it comes to checking the responsiveness in within a breakpoint. I stretch the handles and see the elements moving or changing in an unwanted way then I want to fix it but the new editor shrinks the canvas/breakpoint to whatever the default width is set to instead of leaving it stretched (like Editor X).
I do not want to add a new breakpoint every time I see issues and I need to fix them.
Why not offer a setting that turns this on and off so the user can work with their preferred method? An unnecessary update if you ask me.

Hey @SCW!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Going to move this conversation to the Feedback category.
While I’m here, I’ll provide some context around the change. Because everything comes Scale Proportionally (SP) out of the box, things are, by default, designed in px* (with the asterisks). These aren’t actual pixel units but are units according to the proportion of the rest of the canvas.
While you can change the default design width per breakpoint, and add your own breakpoints (the px* units will automatically update), the change is design to make it easier to work with these units. If the width of the canvas was always changing, the px* units set would also keep changing and would become confusing.
Either way, your feedback has been taken
