Wix studio burger nav

So every site site template I’ve browsed on the Wix Studio Market place, those with Burger menus, they transition in a less than ideal way, I want the closed menu icon (two burger style lines) to transition into a cross when closed.

However, every site I’ve browsed, the open state is a separate icon and essentially sits over the open icon. Not very slick. Is this just because its a template and perhaps wanting to use existing components where possible?

Does anyone know of a tutorial that might help creating a full screen wix studio menu, just with the open burger nav transitioning into a close state?

So they did have animated hamburger menus when Editor X (now Wix Studio) was launched, however there were some glitches with the animated menu icon getting hidden by the menu container itself, which is why they released new hamburger menus with individual open / close buttons. It’s sad that they’re yet to bring the animated menus back…
