We’re currently exploring the possibility of developing our SaaS platform using Wix Studio and Velo, and I had a few questions I hoped you could help clarify:

• In the event of a future exit/acquisition, do we fully own the frontend code, or does Wix retain ownership of any components?

• How suitable is Wix Studio/Velo for building a complex SaaS product at scale?

• Do we have full access to (and the ability to export) the underlying source code? If not, what practical limitations should we expect in terms of flexibility, customization, and future migration?

• How suitable is Wix Studio/Velo for building a complex SaaS product at scale?

  • Wix Studio offers a lot of features and applications like pricing plans, member areas and more that you can use for a SaaS product.
  • As for the Velo documentation, you can check here: Velo Docs

• Do we have full access to (and the ability to export) the underlying source code? If not, what practical limitations should we expect in terms of flexibility, customization, and future migration?

  • Note that Wix does offer Headless support so that might be a great way to “export” your work elsewhere while keeping your applications in Wix.
