I’m experiencing a persistent issue with Wix Studio Pro Gallery and CMS.
I’m building a product catalog using a CMS Collection and Pro Gallery. I connected the gallery to my dataset successfully:
- Image → Display Image
- Title → Title
- Description → Description
- Link → Dynamic Product Page
Everything appears to be connected correctly in the editor.
However, the problem is:
- The Pro Gallery frequently disconnects from the CMS dataset by itself.
- Sometimes after reconnecting, it still displays the default placeholder images and text instead of my CMS content.
- Sometimes it works temporarily, but after refreshing the page or reopening the editor, the connections are lost again.
- I’ve disconnected and reconnected the dataset many times, but the issue keeps happening.
- I’ve already verified that my CMS collection contains valid data, including images, titles and descriptions.
This has cost me many hours of work, and I can’t determine whether this is a bug with Pro Gallery or my site.
Could you please help me investigate?
Specifically, I’d like to know:
- Why does the Pro Gallery keep disconnecting from the dataset?
- Why does it sometimes show placeholder content even though the fields are connected?
- Is this a known issue with Wix Studio Pro Gallery and CMS?
- Is there a permanent solution to prevent the gallery from losing its CMS connections?
