It was working perfectly in the old editor, but now that i use wix studio there is no differnece betweeen hide and collapse as the element becomes just invisible but the gap does not disappear. I tried everything i found in other topics but with no results. It only works for collapsed sections, but containers, boxes, texts images etc… they leave gasps.
A while back when I started playing with Studio I noticed that even if you set a section (or container) to Advanced sizing and made the height “auto” it wouldn’t disappear if it contained collapsed items and for some reason I had to grab the blue handle at the bottom of the section and pull it right up over the collapsed items as far as I could. Then when you let go it’ll snap back into place. THEN when I published the site again it would work as usual with the section shrinking with the collapsed content.
The last time I used Studio I thought I had noted that bug had been fixed, so maybe yours is a different issue but it sounds like the same thing so maybe it’s not fixed and just sometimes happens and sometimes doesn’t?
I guess this is all to do with the way that Studio’s default sizing (with Scale Proportionally) works.
When you use px* units, it’s translating those to responsive units behind the scenes, and sometimes may be a fixed height etc.
When collapsing, the parent element still has it’s measurement, so may not respond to the collapsed action.
I’d consider using advanced sizing for this if you’re using collapsed often
