Wix Vibe site won't publish — 403 Forbidden on PublishVersion

Issue: Publishing from the Vibe editor fails every time with “Couldn’t publish
your site due to a technical issue.”

What I’ve already verified (so this isn’t the usual troubleshooting):

  • The failing request is POST vibe.wix.com/_api/live-versions/v1/live-versions/publish
    returning HTTP 403 (LiveVersionsService.PublishVersion), client_error_code
    ERR_BAD_REQUEST. dev-machine-status returns 200, so the build machine is reachable.
  • Fails identically in a clean Incognito window with extensions disabled — not a
    browser, cache, or extension issue.
  • Fails on a restored earlier version that DID publish successfully on July 10 — not a
    code change on our end.
  • The publishing account is a Website Manager with
    manage/edit/publish permission per Roles & Permissions — not a permissions issue.

This looks like a server-side authorization/entitlement problem on the Vibe publish
pipeline. The site last published fine July 10. Please escalate to the Wix Vibe /
headless engineering team, and send me the ticket number.
