It looks like I can only format the widget as a slider? I cant use a grid? I mentioned this in the Partners FB group, and was told video grids aren’t a thing.
I know you guys don’t normally do roadmaps – but is there anything I can tell my client about when this will be possible?
A video grid is like a web design 101 - and this is an expensive project, a client who’s investing a solid five figures. And I sold them on at editor X over the classic editor and other platforms. Frankly, it’s embarrassing to go to them and say Wix can’t do support this basic plug and play design when freaking Weebly can. Would love to have something to share about when we can make the change.
(I know I can use a repeater - but then I don’t get the out of the box benefits of Wix Video).
Would love to be able to share some info with the client.

At the moment we are supporting only the slider layout for the Wix Video widget.
Maybe you can describe what are the capabilities or the layout you need to achieve and i’ll try to help by creating it with the EditorX layouting tools and the single video player.

Strange fact: I had access and used the exact same Wix Video layouts as in the classic Wix editor on 4 of my Editor X websites since March until… this month. Since I don’t understand what happened suddenly, I raised a ticket and I was told exactly the same thing as you: I shouldn’t have access to other layouts than the (terrible) slider one and that’s it.
At least for the moment but I hope improvements / updates will come very soon as clients’ projects continue and it’s really extremely embarassing
Wix video teams, please help!
Ok we can always find some turnaround but for me, video is a core business and video apps integrations are one of the main reasons I’m using Wix and Editor X to rationalize on all platforms.
Any news, any update on this is more than welcome anyone.

Same issue and problem. On more than 1 site. It can’t be that hard to over the same other layouts that the OG editor has. At a minimum we should have the other layouts that are available. The slider is terrible.
Ideally I would like access to the Wix App collection like some of the other apps to fully customize it.
But the other layouts need to be available at a minimum.
