I’m pretty confused why these two things exist in isolation, but before I get into that:

Wix Video has many widgets available in the classic editor but not in Studio - now that I’ve built my new site in Studio I’m stuck between hoping you add more widgets soon or rebuilding in classic.

Wix Video is great, it supports uploads, live streams, and channels with a wide variety of widgets. However, we can’t assign any of these live streams to events. This means the live streams are essentially hidden from our users; more so because of the lack of widgets.

Wix Live Video is also cool, because it does hook into events. However, it’s impossible to make these available on a single URL (such as /live) as it expects them to be webinars and each webinar gets a unique URL. This works OK for RSVPs, but if I want it completely public with no registration, I need to go into the live studio and copy the URL and tweet it. Another downside of Live Video is that I can’t use RTMP, but I can with Wix Video.

So as it stands, all the functionality I need exists - but none of it works together in any sort of cohesive way.

I really hope this can be fixed and within a reasonable time frame.

If there are any workarounds in the interim, please let me know.

@rawkode This is all really great feedback! It sounds like they both offer needed features as well as don’t provide needed features. I took a look through all of our current feature requests and did not see any specific to your input. In that case, I highly suggest you do submit your requests as official feature requests! Go to the Product Roadmap and click the ‘Request a Feature’ button.

Has there been any updates on this? I’m facing the same issues and wasn’t sure if it was user error or not.
