Workaround in Wix Bookings/Calendar?

Hey I know this is a Feature Request but does anyone have a workaround for WixBookings to book without using the Calendar and go straight to checkout? I’ve got a few non-scheduled services that don’t fit on a store platform but work well on Wix Bookings. That would be grrrreat! Thanks!

Hi Jen! I’m going to see if there might be a workaround for this! I’ll keep you posted.

I spoke to someone in customer service/coding today. He said use Wix Events. I’m like “Ahhh the red-headed stepchild of apps!” Ha ha I always forget WiX Events. I’ll give it a shot, he thought I should be able to list the Services as Events and bypass the calendar to go straight to checkout. I’ll update if this works.

Yes, please keep us updated!

I’ve done something similar and used the Store. I’ve used Wix Events a few times but it doesn’t seem very developed to me so I always end up using something else. The store is very flexible and well designed.

Nice! How did you go about using stores Sara?

@stevenjose For example here https://www.themoderncalligraphyco.com/product-page/morning-dip-pen-workshop

@sara omg! Sara, that is genius!

@jen49281 check out the example Sara provided. It could be the workaround you were looking for!

I also used the store for an estate agent (real estate).

I love the shop, it’s so flexible, every time I use Wix Events or Bookings, the clients complain. The shop feels solid and professional, events and booking don’t.

@sara thank you for sharing your work and your feedback!

Hi @sara , the Store you used looks fantastic! Love the colors and the breakdown. I want to take a class, haha.

My client is very specific about not wanting the times or dates appearing on the applications but instead wants to have endless forms and emails to inundate the unsuspecting customer.

I have put in Events and it’s working well so far because it can be customized to each Event with sending out an email to confirm the booking. She is working as a consultation-based business so the Store is difficult because no product would be shipped. There were too many data items that were left unanswered that made the page look abandoned in the Store app. For this particular purpose, I think Events found a home. I’ll post once she approves the final.

Thank you though, that is a great work-up on the Store!

Ok first I just want $600K SBP so I can buy one of those properties. Second, my client went bonkers because of the timer a d “location and time” popped up on Events. Yes @Sara, you were right overall. It didn’t work. I was really hopeful and it had looked promising but my client’s odd business model is challenging.

She is utterly convinced that someone will read a description of her Service, and go straight to payment, send her money with no contact, no follow-up such as when or where to meet or committment if the potential client will actually receive any services.

I had it set the Events to “TBD” because she won’t use a calendar. She won’t commit to a time or place. There is no contact information.

Seriously, it’s as sketchy as it gets. According to my client, I’m wrong and “zillions of companies are run this way” everyday. “No one needs to know when or where.” So…who wants to pay a few grand and hope they get called back?

I said it can be coded with Corvid but she doesn’t want to pay :woman_facepalming: for customization.

Did this work for you? I might try the same thing

hi, did the store work for services? I tried it an it only had option for digital or physical products
