A weired auto-scroll from bottom to top upon navigating between pages.

I am new to Wix, and don’t know how to say Wix to not first load pages from the bottom and to not automatically scroll them to the top. It happens when you are at the bottom or middle of a page and have tried to navigate to another page.

To help you understand the problem, follow the below steps on this test project I started here: https://seifihas.wixsite.com/test

  1. Wait for the website to be fully loaded, then scroll it down on the current/main ‘BLOG’ page. You should be at the end of the page;

  2. Now try to navigate to ‘PODCAST’ page.

  3. what you see here is an automatic scroll from bottom to top. This is not expected.

  4. What I want is to see that the ‘PODCAST’ page will normally appear/load from the top. NO automatic Scroll.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, I would like to note that Corvid is a code related forum for issues related to Corvid code, for other issues on Wix please contact Wix Support .

Now regarding your topic, it’s not an actual issue, it’s just how Wix render the pages internally, instead of loading each page individually as many sites do, this helpes in many scenrios where you want a code to run while navigating or after navigating to a new page, there’s no clear reason since it’s not an actual issue, and while it’s working, you shouldn’t be bothered.

This is actually an issue or a quirk that is not very good if you want the first thing them to see is your hero image at the top of the page. is there a way to change this or is anybody looking into changing this?

I know this is an old post but I also spent quite some time researching for a fix and eventually called customer support to help me, so I’m leaving it here for the next folks to see because this is the first post that came up when I searched on Google. The " weird auto-scroll from bottom to top upon navigating between pages" is actually an Editor Feature with no way to disable it. But when the site is published, it does not automatically scroll to the top when you click back-arrow or “Home” to go back to the main page.
