Question:
How do I add large amount of text and paragraph headers to a page? Do I have to go literally one text object per paragraph, then a paragraph object for the next header, and so on down the page? If I have 20 paragraphs with headers, that’s 40 objects I have to set up?
Product:
Wix Studio
What have you already tried:
When I add my copied text from word, I paste it into a text box and want to format it in that text box, but the text box won’t even resize to stretch to contain all the text. What is the right method?
You can add it in a single paragraph if there aren’t any headings in between. if there are headings, use multiple paragraphs. It will be good for the SEO and page hierarchy. You can paste it in a single para as well but it is a good idea to increase the section size considerably before doing so.
Let me share a method that I personally use (though I’m not sure if it’s the best approach). In Wix, you can embed a Rich Content element on a page. This Rich Content element can be connected to a collection, allowing you to display Rich Content saved in the collection on the Rich Content element on the page. In other words, long texts that might be cumbersome to paste directly onto a page can be neatly stored by splitting them into records within a collection, and then automatically reflected on the page when it loads, thanks to the connection between the collection and the Rich Content element. This might be a useful hint for you.
