Adding / turning on WIX store to an already built custom website

Question:
If I turn on WIX store do I still have to select a theme? and will it change my current home page? I have a custom webpage that sells books. It currently just takes buyers to another bookstore for the sale and I get royalties. They handle all the transaction and shipping. Now they have an integration with WIX Store. So what happens if I turn on WIX store? does it overwrite my website home page? does it force me to use a template or theme, like a book store theme? or does it just open up a products type page and makes it available? I’d hate to lose my current home page because I really like it. The integration I will use is from Lulu.com OnDemand printers. anyone have experience with this App on WIX? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey there,

Adding the Wix Store app to your already built website should not affect any of your existing pages or themes or layout at all. Instead, it will automatically add new ‘store’ pages to your website such as the Product Page, Categories Page, Cart Page etc. And that might add a little cart icon to your site’s header, which you can always delete if you want to.

So no it shouldn’t affect your pre-existing site layout, and you can always delete the Wix Stores app from your site or you can also revert back to the previous version of your website using the Site History tab if you ever need to!
