I’m having trouble with

Hi! So, I just read about the new Wix Store rollout that allows for subcategories and more freedom with variants, among other things. This is a huge gamechanger! It says that it can only be installed on new websites, however, so I have a couple questions.

  1. Does it work with Wix Editor? (Rather than just Studio?)

  2. If I simply uninstall Wix Stores on my pre-existing website and then re-install it, will it be re-installed with the new capabilities? Or, do I have to literally create a new website?

  3. My pre-existing website is on a custom domain which I obviously want to keep. If I actually do need to create an entirely new website, how would I create it so it’s on the same custom domain?

  4. Is the new Wix Stores actually “good” and bug-free since it’s brand new? Would it be wise to actually install it?

Works on all new sites :slight_smile:

For now - it only works on new sites. It’s not possible to switch an existing store

If you rebuild the site, you can assign the domain to a different site in your account - Assigning a Domain to a Site in Your Wix Account | Help Center | Wix.com

Worth starting a new site and testing it out :wink: Would love to hear your thoughts!

Noah! Thank you so much for responding. While I have you here, I would be so appreciative if you could tell me what the current best solution for a multivendor ecommerce shop would be.

I really want to stick with Wix if I can, but I also plan on having lots of vendors.
