Hi guys,
I’m trying to embed a tracking code for affiliate marketing aka tracking our influencers’ sales onto our ‘thank you’/post purchase page… We were provided a https code from our third party vendor (affil
ate marketing platform) but when they run tests it doesn’t work… It looks like this (see photo). Does it look right to you and do you know how to solve this issue?
Hope I get some answers… this is not my strong suit…
Thanks!
It look like an actual link rather than piece of code - can you try adding it as a web address rather than code?
@jim75924 any tips? You’re always on top of things here
I guess I don’t know exactly how this works in Editor X, but the ‘’ at the end mark this as an HTML comment, so I would expect the whole thing to be ignored.
Bottom line, I suspect @eduardog is correct. This is a link with your affiliate code embedded and should be entered as a website address (without the comment markup).
A note: Both Edu and I are basing our suggestion on what we see in the screenshot. If it works, great. If not, I’d suggest going back to your vendor’s documentation to make sure you understand (1) what you are supposed to do on your Editor X site and (2) what is supposed to happen when it’s working. And then bring that info back here for followup.
