Can you make an automation fire based on a User’s Assigned Role?

What are you trying to achieve:
I am a subscription based service product, and the lead account owner signs up to the service and pays, checkouts etc.
But then we need to give access to the additional users they bring with them, so they can log in to that same user space to access some files etc.
We do this by creating a manual “add your users in”, that we then assign a role of “additional user” manually.
Can I make an automation so only these Users with this role get this email automatically? We need this as their onboarding instructions are different to the master account holder.
What have you already tried:
I have tried using the new Member approved flow, but as it can’t distinguish between the roles everyone is getting the email (even the lead account holder).
Additional information:
Is there an official way to link a master account holder to other members that we are missing?
