Availability calendar Wix Store with Wix Code

Hi All,

We have clients who are requesting calendars on their Wix store product pages. For businesses, such as dress rentals, it is important to denote the availability of their products on any specific day and allow customers to book products on available days.

Now that Wix store is open to code - it appears possible to populate a calendar on the dynamic page according to the specific product being displayed. Furthermore I can simply hide or show the add to cart button depending on whether the user is selecting available dates in the calendar. The problems begin after the purchase when updating the calendar…

There does not appear to be a way to identify specific customers in the store with Wix code - or when this specific customer completes a purchase. Without these features it is impossible to update the calendar when a customer hires a product as any given customer can complete a purchase for a different set of dates.

If anyone can see a way around these issues I would greatly appreciate the help!

Cheers,

Kate

Hi Kate,

We are working on having ‘Order placed’ event letting you the ability to update the calendar. Meanwhile, i suggest to use the Product Options- Option name: June, Option choices: 1-30, inventory for each variant:1. You can create as many products as months and to play with it in the ui with Wix Code. The only problem i can think of is that there’s a limitation of 30 items per option ( all days of the week are available…) Sounds like a great challenge, would love to hear how you figured it out

Thanks

Thanks Neta-Lee, well the good news is we don’t need 30 days, we only 4 day periods, but it doesn’t really work because it could be any 4 day period. Thinking…

The rent is for 4 days or up to 4 days?

It’s 4 days only. Not 3, not 5.

So you can still do it. Set the choices in the Product page back office to be 1-30 each with inventory 1
and the choices display in the store front to be 1-4, 2-5, 3-6…28-31 (in a calendar view or else)
Choosing a range of dates will add 4 items to cart (same product with different variant.
When 1-4 is purchased for example - so 2-5, 3-6, 4-7 are becoming unavailable.
Just an idea … good luck

Thanks again Neta but it’s ANY 4 days eg 1st until 4th, or 2nd until 5th. Also the other dates must rmain available.

I am looking for a capability very similar to this. My business consists of weekly training sessions that clients can book online, but we also have a store with product options. I would like to have all of the bookings going to the shopping cart so that customers can add other classes or products before checking out. Did you find a resolution, Kate?

I am also looking for this - I have two clients requesting it.
