Hi everyone!
Thank you all for taking the time to give your valuable feedback!
I’m happy to announce that you now have access to Notifications Settings as well! (open to the same beta users).
It’s under Settings → Notifications on your Dashboard’s sidebar.
Would love to hear your thoughts if you have any!
This is great news. I am amongst those who only want to receive notifications for certain sites. Thank you. D
So happy to hear, thank you Dena!
@yaara-misholi Question: I am in my own website’s dashboard. I only see a way to set up notifications for my own site. Do I have to go into each site I am a contributor on to turn off notifications, or is there a list somewhere, like on the mobile app, so I can turn things on and off in one place?
@yaara-misholi this is great!! Thank you!
@stevenjose So glad to hear, thank you!
@_dena Hey Dena,
Since notifications settings can be different per site, you do need to go into each site’s Notifications Settings. This is the same as on the mobile app: you might want to get messages from one site, but not from the other.
However, as experts, you guys have your own toggle which allows you (experts only!) to mute the entire site in a single click! Hope that helps.
@yaara-misholi I am grateful for this, and I will go ahead and go in to each site. BUT, many of us of lots and lots of sites. It would be wonderful if, instead of having to go into each site editor and manually change notification settings, there were a master dropdown list that we could access via our dashboard, to change the settings on all of the sites that we own or contribute to in one place. Perhaps for the next update to this…?
@yaara-misholi Sorry to be so dense about this, but where is the toggle? On the client’s site? If yes, where?
@_dena Great idea, thank you for this feedback!
And no worries! Are you able to see this toggle at the top of the notifications page?
@yaara-misholi No, I don’t see what you posted above on the sites I’ve been looking at. I do see a place to check email notifications at the bottom of the page. (See attached screenshot.) I am less concerned about email notifications and more concerned that messages sent to my clients are now showing up in my notifications, in my account, when I hit the notifications widget/bell at the top right of my dashboard. See attached. Some of my clients are medical professionals and the information in those notifications are confidential. How do I turn that off, so I don’t see them in my account?
@_dena Would it be ok if I check your account to see what you see? Could you please send me your email address to yaarami@wix.com?
Thanks!
@yaara-misholi Done.
@yaara-misholi Email sent.
@_dena Hey Dena, thanks for sending your details!
I am able to see the toggle I mentioned.
To see it, you will need to select a site, go to ‘Settings’ on the sidebar, and then select ‘Notifications’ on the sidebar again.
Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
@yaara-misholi I think I’m not making myself clear. I don’t want to waste the time of others in this thread. What I want to do is to turn off notifications that show in the ‘toggle’. Not email notifications. Perhaps you can email me about this at the address I sent earlier.
Anyone else getting the ‘wheel of waiting’ while they want to chance the Notifications settings for a website? I’ve tried different browsers, incognito mode, cleared cache, etc.
That’s odd - I haven’t heard of this - is it still doing it?
@brett-haralson Yes.
