Bypass Repeated Elements for Screen Reader Accessibility

One of the guidelines for ADA compliance (WCAG 2.1, sec 2.4.1) requires adding code to bypass blocks of content repeated on each page. I’m looking for a way to add code that gives the option for screen reader software (JAWS & VoiceOver) to skip past reading aloud the full main menu on each page. Wix tech support recommended a post here for help. Any suggestions?

JAWS & VoiceOver are third party companies and not part of Wix, therefore I would suggest that you go back to their own support teams and ask them if there is a way that this can be integrated for how you are asking.

Note that Wix Corvid Forum will provide help and support for all code related issues tat are on your website and are Wix issues, with outside companies or third party code providers Wix won’t provide support as they can’t guarantee that they will work within Wix and they have not had the time and resources to test whatever it is and make sure that it fully works within Wix itself.

Plus, Wix Support should have directed you to their own pages about this sort of issue.

Important:
Navigating a site using the Tab key only navigates through the interactive elements and not static elements such as text. If you want to test out a screen reader on static elements such as text, follow the instructions in your screenreader’s help center on how to properly navigate a website with a keyboard.
