Here’s what I’m hoping to do:
- I have several sections on the home page. For each section, I’d like to have a separate database.
- However, I’d like to be able to have an “index” page which allows searching for key topics across all databases.
For example: It’s a health site that will have a breaking news section, plus sections for nutrition, recipes, weight-loss, etc. I’d like to populate each section from separate databases for convenience (and control over how many news items are displayed). THEN, I’d like to have a searchable archive page so readers can search past articles for their health issues. This archive would need to extract info from all databases.
One more annoyance: I know you can add multiple databases with the editor BUT only one seems to show when I try to link an element!! See pics below…
Editor shows 2 databases in site structure…
But just one shows in editor workspace and drop-downs for linking.
Why???
