Cannot delete 3 sections

Hi all - there is a quite annoying issue I haven’t been able to resolve on my own. I have 3 empty sections on my homepage and I simply cant delete them. I tried with backspace, the inspector and the context menu…but nothing happens, at all. I can simply delete other elements on my site, any ideas why this happens? thank you

‘Display’ the section first (if hidden). You may not see it still. Next give the section a width of 100%.
You’ll probably be able to see it now and delete it to the depths of Hades.

Otherwise call WIX support

hello - thank you for your reply. but sections are always 100% or am i mistaken? anyway, i can not delete anything anymore now so its gotten worse, i am afraid.
I am on chrome/mac but also tried it on windows/pc. I emptie the cache and also tried firefox … still not possible to delete elements for me. any more ideas are welcome ; )

Hey could it be that the height is of these sections is set to auto and the min-height set to none?

Hey ido, thanks for junping on this. but, no - they all have different settings but none of them has the one you mentioned, unfortunately.

if you send the url and some screen shots of the sections you are referring to I could take a look and try and help.

@hello32111 The section width to 100% was what worked for me. Sometimes it automatically changes to 0% after it’s hidden. If you want to you can always go back in time using ‘Site History’. Save sections that look good as ’ Design assets’ and work your way back up. Good luck to you.

can I DM you the URL?

@designedbyalexander thanks, i will have a look!

Sure no problem

Ok , I see the issue, let me check what can be done and I will get back to you in the next 24 hours.

ok, cool - let me know when you found something, thanks!

Hi @idoh any news? I havent heard anything? I am able to delete the sections now, thanks for helping out. But now all sections are reversed and the order is kind of messed up and wrong. When I look at the inspector the Header is on top and the footer is at the bottom, but when you look at the site its the opposite. Is this normal or due to the issue your are working on this at the moment? please let me know whats happening, thank you

Hey glad you are able to delete now,
to fix the order of the sections just arrange them visually as you like, then in the inspector panel go from the first section one by one, right click → arrange → bring to front. that will fix your DOM order.

let me know if your issues have resolved.

Hi @idoh thanks, but i am afraid thats the problem. When i drag them visually in the inspector they change, but the header is never on top as its supposed to be event though i dragged it to the top. (see screenshot). the rich click → arrange->bring to front did not change that behaviour.

I am also looking forward to a solution to this issue.

Hi, I’m having similar problems, I cannot change anything to site masters, I can’t delete them, can’t change their height, … the delete option is faded, backspace etc. all won’t work. I can delete and edit other elements, just not my site masters it seems, any fixes?

Hey @deevoo_official

What a coincidence we met up on the support line.

If anyone encounters this issue, we managed to delete the headers, through a combination of detaching the sections from masters and deleting the sections.

However, if anyone has this issue, please contact support so we can document it to make sure there is not an issue with the master header.

Has there been any update about this? I’m having the same issues currently.
