I can't delete a page on my website

Hello everyone!
At the moment, I’m currently redesigning my Portfolio & I have a page on my Portfolio that was my old home page.

When I was redesigning my portfolio, I duplicated the older portfolio page to use it as a base for my new home page for my updated portfolio.

I’ve now reached a point where I’m satisfied with my redesign & I want to delete the older home page. But for whatever reason that is beyond my understanding, it refuses to get deleted.

On this older home page, the only thing I have on this page is a Strip Background that has a generic image of some fruits. This “Strip Background” doesn’t get deleted as well & it’s part of something called a “Section” as well (which doesn’t get deleted either).

I’m editing my Portfolio using Firefox & I’ve tried deleting this page multiple times with no avail, I’ve tried deleting the page using Microsoft Edge but again, to no avail.

I’ve contacted support regarding this but this issue have been a great source of frustration over the last couple of days & I don’t understand why nothing is working.

The only thing I can do at the moment is hiding this page & I changed the name of this specific page to “Projects - DELETE THIS”.

What’s going on?

Sorry to her this is happening. Have you assigned the new home page as the “Home” in the editor?

If it’s still not working, I recommend reaching out to support again. A temporary solution is what you’re doing currently and setting it’s SEO settings to not be indexable etc.

Although, this isn’t ideal support is likely the best option here :slight_smile:

To answer your question: Yes I have set the new home page as my home page, what I haven’t done was setting the SEO setting for the older page to not being index-able (thanks for the tip!).

I did get a notification regarding my issue yesterday via email but it’s been silence since then, I was thinking of contacting support tomorrow regarding this issue again since this is becoming a bit of an annoyance for me.

Once again, thank you for your tip regarding the indexing thing, I’ve disabled it as I’m responding to you!
