I have created category pages for my products which has populated my menus and all is working well there. However, when I try to link buttons or text to those category pages only the first cat page I created will stick. What happens is I select the button, go to settings, select category page then the page I want, click ok BUT the link doesn’t stick. When I go back and check it there is nothing assigned. Driving me batty!
Please keep in mind, I am an absolute beginner and know nothing about code. Solely using the WIx Editor.

The WIX help suggests that I have to potentially publish the site before I can link buttons and text to the category pages. Can this be right??
Wix Help is actually right in this case, and it’s not as strange as it sounds.
In Wix Stores, category pages are dynamic pages. They don’t fully “exist” as linkable targets until the site has been published at least once after they were created.
So if you create new product categories and immediately try to link a button to them before publishing, Wix sometimes won’t save the link. That’s why it looks like it doesn’t “stick.”
What to do:

Save your website.

Click Publish.

After publishing, go back into the Editor.

Try linking the button to the category page again.
