Charge customers if they are choosing Manual Payments or COD

In India, most of the shipping companies charge the seller additional fees if the customer is paying them cash at the time of delivery. I need to charge customers a fee if they choose Manual Payments such as Cash On Delivery. Currently, wix doesn’t have a feature where I can charge customers only in the case of Manual Payments. Is there a code or any other way to charge customers opting for Manual Payments OR charge everyone a handling fee irrespective of their mode of payments but provide a discount coupon to only those who are doing an online payment OR Cashback for customers using online payments? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

In this case, I would recommend processing payments outside of the context of Wix stores (or any app that you are using). When someone chooses manual payments on your site for example, you can follow the steps within this tutorial to process a charge for manual payments.
For detailed information on the Pay API see wix-pay and wix-pay-backend in the API Reference.

Hi Edward, Does it really make sence to transfer customer outside of the context of Wix stores? The most of e-shops solution has this feature already implemented as a native feature.
Edward, can you let me know if in your roadmap is planning this feature ?

I have the same problem. Greece charges a fee for paying upon delivery and it’s possible to add this fee on all other platforms except wix. The problem is that I have already put endless hours into creating an eshop with wix and I don’t know what to do now!!! Is there a solution coming any time soon. This option is a must for coutries like Greece!

I have the same problem and it’s frustrating that I have requested this feature for more than 2 years from now to their support. They haven’t responded back or haven’t brought this feature. Due to this issue, I’m forced to move all my sites to woocommerce. I’m even ready to pay an extra amount to access this feature. Due to this issue we are using a workaround solution where we create our own static product pages and Cart pages.
Please Bring this feature ASAP, so we can continue in WIX!

PS : I’m running a startup called Brandbox where we help creators in India launch their own online stores. I have launched 8 Online stores from Wix and we’re on the path to scale it to 100K stores down the lane.

why can’t you guys just add a simple plugin or add some setting to charge for manual payments???its becoming very frustrating and i am loosing costumers…and so as well as other people using wix…HUGE DRAWBACK

It is obvious. They just don’t feel like it. They only look at this platform through the prism of the US market. If the law of any country does not force them to do so - they will not do it - even if the rest of the world has been asking for such a trivial modification for a FEW YEARS .

This is my last year of using Wix. My customers, due to the lack of such a basic function as COD, treat my store very lightly.

Can you please keep offline payment limit amount? Like upto certain cod amount can be purchased, above that prepaid . Because customers are purchasing in heavy quantity through offline methods which later on they may reject the orders.
