I have a client who has built a Wix store site in his own account. He is not happy with the design and would like a change. The store is working fine. What would be the process to change design? I do not want to go into the original site and work in his account. Can I have him make a copy of his site and then transfer it to my account, where I can then go in and work the changes. Then transfer it back to him and go in and change the current hosting plan to the newly designed site Just wondering if this would be the best way to handle it. Any ideas? TIA
Short answer: yes
He can duplicate the template and transfer ownership to you where you can make design changes and transfer back once complete. You can assign a premium plan to a template at any time.
You can learn more about the process here Wix Stores: Transferring Your Store to Another Wix Account | Help Center | Wix.com
Thanks, Sheyla! Wanted to make sure that was the right way to go.
Quick go along question. If the site is copied and they have Wix Comments active on the original site…will those be copied as well? Or will they have to start all over?
Hey there! Do you mean on the Wix Blog or somewhere else?
@sheyla Just realized it is not a Wix app it’s Comments By Uri Shaked . So a 3rd party app. It allows people to place leave their comments and then the comments show up on the home page for all to see.
TPAs don’t transfer in general, so the answer in this case would be no.
@sheyla Oh, bugger! But Thanks! Appreciate your quick responses.
