Complete NOOB needs help.

Being an IT professional, I (as a new user) have waded right into the deep end of the pool. A short time ago, I was able to contact support and actually open a real ticket. Got a great answer and my problem disappeared. Thanks, support.

The support person actually looked at my site and came back letting me know where the error was. But I can’t get into the ticket system (just circular menus that go nowhere and don’t help with my specific problem) so can’t use that method again.

My problem is with dynamic pages. I duplicated the example on YouTube that even shows how to make he index. But it won’t work for me.

So, if anyone here would be willing to take a quick look at my site, I’d provide the login credentials, etc via PM, private Email or something similar. WIX appears to me to be one heluva tool, but I personally am having trouble getting my mind wrapped around it.

Help??? Anyone??

OK, so after “slobbering around” a bit more I got a nice dynamic page working. The only problem is I can’t get to after publishing because there is no link showing on my Home page. I can only see the dynamic page(s) in preview mode. Anyone???

Hey Bill, do you mean your links aren’t working or you don’t know how to make the links?

@skmedia Thank you… When I publish my site, it starts up at the home page(as most websites do). I don’t know how to get from my home page to one of the the dynamic page.

If I only preview, the dynamic page (which (at that time) is my current page) is working just fine.

@bill31814 I see. I’ll just leave these here:

@skmedia I thank you sir… I’ll check those links. I somehow managed get to the dyn page from my home page, but then no way to browse thru the contents. I tried a pagination component (left and right arrows) but even though I connected is correctly, it does nothing. Thanks again. Wix is an extremely well-thought-out concept, but is somewhat lacking in it’s implementation. Even though they tried very hard, it’s not very intuitive.

@bill31814 Dynamic pages are technically considered to be more advanced by the Wix team so you’re right it isn’t as easy as other editor features. I suggest you check out the rest of Wix’s documentation and Code Queen Nayeli’s youtube channel.

Also, the tutorials on WIX Youtube videos are somewhat “dated” and I think that may have run into problems because of that. Once again, I will persevere. I’m not a quitter and with over 40 years experience as a developer I SHOULD be able to “git 'er dun” :sunglasses: And once again, my some sincere thanks.
