For some odd reason a page of mine has decided to collapse one container to 0 pixels. This container has a height set to 100% yet it is collapsing to 0.
All containers are docked with all margins sets to 0. Since this container collapses to 0, the container next to it expands well beyond the footer…
The left and right container are docked to a transparent container which has a set width.
This is perhaps happening because of the settings of the parent container,
does it have a grid applied? if so maybe take a screenshot when you are inside edit grid mode.
If you want you can also share. the url to the published site and I can check it out.
My website is live but I’ve been heavily redesigning so this page is not published yet. I honestly think this has to be a bug. It randomly happens when I load a page in Editor X and then the only way to fix it is by literally deleting everything and redesigning the entire page over again.
The parent container has a max width of 1258 pixels and height set to auto. Margins are 0 and there are no grids.
The container on the left has a width of 860 pixels, height set to auto all margins are 0 and no grids.
The narrow container on the right has a max width of 340, height set to 100% and all margins are 0. This one does have 3 vertical grids (pixel 20, auto, pixel 20 and height is set to min/max - max content/100%). Padding top and bottom set to 20 pixels.
Section height is set to auto with a min height of 1200 pixels.
I’ve tried pulling each container out of the parent container and attempted to redock as well as pulling all containers completely into a new section in attempt to redock all 3.
Alas, I always have to delete absolutely everything and redesign it all over again. Yet, this doesn’t seem to be a permanent solution. I try to stay away from loading and editing these pages due to this random bug.
Trying to figure out what causes this because deleting and redesigning over 20 pages that this occurred on is time consuming.
Below you’ll see a screenshot of me recreating an entire section, then it works fine… I just delete the original afterwards.
My only theory is that it has to do with the auto feature. Every once in a while, when the auto feature is readjusting its size, it’ll hang up on 0 pixels. Sometimes by switching to pixels and back to auto it’ll correct itself and on other occasions you’re stuck with my dilemma.
