Contributor Roles: Media Manager Only

Question : Is there a Contributor Role I could assign a client that would only allow them to access the Media Manager to upload their new photos, but not allow them to edit/publish (basically, mess with the site I’m designing until I’m done?).

I understand how I can create custom roles , but I’m not sure how to achieve what I want or if it’s quite possible ie. Allow a client access only to the Media Folder to upload files ( #featurerequest ?) And, to be clear, only have access to the Media Folder for a particular site in my account.

Fyi, this particular client has a Wix Store, Wix Blog and Wix Bookings… so my idea was to give her limited permissions in one of these categories… but I think it’s a little confusing for clients to open one of those applications and then follow the steps they need to eventually get to the media manager.

And also, I know y’all know, but I really don’t need the client messing with my template design at the same time I’m trying to finish it! (Which again, fyi, is exactly what this particular client is requesting. She wants to upload her own photos then play around herself with placing them around the site. And I’m like - just send me your photos lady, so I can finish the site!). But then again, I would like to make things as easy as possible for my clients. Content collection is always a doozy, right?

(And yes, I’ve already suggested all other options to her: email, WeTransfer, Dropbox…etc). Nevertheless, if she continues to insist… perhaps giving her Blog editor permissions would be the most straight forward… I believe when she goes to create or edit a post, then add an image, it would then give her access to the media manager. Again, a little convoluted! I really do wish there was a way to give just Media Manager permissions.

#FeatureRequest: Add “Media Manger” button to the Dashboard’s main menu.
Then another #FeatureRequest might add “Managing Media” to the optional roles of a contributor.
These two will answer @fordcreatv needs, (and mine, especially the first)

Yes! Both great suggestions.
