I’m having trouble with my donations page. I’ve checked credit cards in the accepted payments options, but it doesn’t show up on my live page. What am I doing wrong?
Credit cards not appearing means one of three setup steps is incomplete — site plan, payment provider, or the widget configuration itself.
Prerequisites: your site must be on a Premium plan that supports payments, and you need a connected payment provider (Wix Payments, PayPal, or Stripe). Wix Payments requires your organization to be registered as a charity in a country where it’s available.
Check these in order: Dashboard → Settings → Accept Payments. If no payment provider shows as connected, click “Choose a payment provider” and complete setup. Then Settings → Business Info — confirm your organization type is set correctly if using Wix Payments. Finally, on your donations page, select the donation form widget, click Settings, and verify “Enable payments” is on and your campaign is assigned.
If all three are confirmed and credit cards still don’t show, republish the page — payment provider changes don’t always reach the live site until you publish.

I have the Core plan. Do I need to upgrade to accept credit cards? I can only take a card through Apple or Google pay currently.
No, you don’t need to upgrade. Core includes payments — it’s the cheapest plan
that does, and only Light lacks it. Upgrading would cost you money and change
nothing here.
The Apple Pay and Google Pay detail is the useful clue, and it rules most
things out. Both are tokenized card payments running on the same card rails,
so the fact that they work proves your payment provider is connected and
processing cards already. This isn’t a plan problem or a connection problem.
Worth confirming the per-method toggle first, since it’s quick:
Go to Accept Payments in your dashboard. Click Manage next to the card method.
Check the toggle is on and confirm. Credit card and Apple Pay are separate
toggles, so one can be off while the other works.
But you said in your first post you’d already checked credit cards in accepted
payments, so I’d expect that toggle to be on. If it is, the problem is on the
provider side rather than in your settings, and more dashboard digging won’t
find it.
The most likely reason a provider runs wallet payments while direct card entry
stays unavailable is that the account isn’t fully approved for card processing
yet — verification pending, or a restriction on the account. I can’t see that
from here and you can’t change it from the dashboard.
Open a ticket with Wix support, give them your live donations page URL, and ask
them specifically: is my payment account approved for direct card processing,
or only for wallet payments? That question gets you a straight answer. A
general “credit cards don’t show” ticket will send you round the setup steps
you’ve already done.
One thing to check while you wait, since it’s the other explanation that fits:
if you’re using Wix Donations with Wix Payments, that combination requires the
cause to be a registered charity in a country where Wix Payments operates. If
that doesn’t describe your setup, the donations route may be the constraint
rather than the card method, and a PayPal connection would sidestep it.
